It (in my humble opinion) adds nothing to the shot, that said the image itself is very lovely, sort of thing one sees in a travel magazine. Suby
>Suby : Yep, you've very good eyes ! It is a tree, but it is completely in the shaddow of other trees.
For me, this picture illustrates the wilderness of the nature in that region. And the tree - or the dark mass as you call it But I think I see your point now. You prefer more some detail pictures, isn't it ? A narrow framing that doesn't necessarily include the environnement of the subject. One thing is sure. This definetely is a kind of picture that one sees in travel magazines. It is not an artistic shot, but it presents the remarquable nature one can see in Argentina. Hope you'll appreciate more the pictures I've prepared for the next week. The two first one's are much more "detail" pictures. I would have to agree with Suby about the bottom left. Perhaps, if it is possible to use Shadow/Highlight to bring out just a little bit of detail so that our eyes could wander about in there. Great shot!
>Paul : OK, thanks for the tip, I'll try it. The reason why I've kept it like this is, that some photographers recommand to keep the bottom / sides of the picture in dark. What do you think about that - same question for Suby - ?
Thanks for your visit ! |
